This utility is one of the most popular compression packages around. It includes a Wizard that will guide you through the uncompression process, and then automatically run the installation program of the software you downloaded.

Stuffit Expander

Quite possibly the easiest compression utility around. Just Drag 'N Drop an archive file to the program/window and it will do the rest for you by unpacking the files into a new directory where the original archive is located.
